Super model turned super mogul Tyra Banks is branching out from ANTM and her talk show into the competitive sitcom market with a new TV show based on her teenage years.
Called Fivehead (anyone with a large FOURhead –geddit? will know what that means) the scripted comedy will chronicle her years in high school and her journey from school girl to super model.
The show’s co-creator and executive producer is Tyra’s friend Kenya Barris who has known her since she was six. He told deadline.com: “To be able to witness her career was wild, but to be able to watch Tyra grow up was nothing short of nutty. I am blown away by the opportunity to tell not just a great story but a story that I remember so fondly.”

ANTM is losing steam 19 cycles in so it will be interesting to see how Tyra handles a sitcom. Fivehead will be on NBC next year. Will you be watching?
I can’t stand America’s Next Top Model and Tyra does my head in so I doubt if I will be tuning in. Anyway it sounds like Everybody Hates Chris which was about Chris Rock’s teenage years.
