It might seem a little premature to be thinking about Spring 2013 hair trends but we like to think of ourselves as ahead of the game.
Two hair trends that caught our eye at the Spring 2013 shows were:
Super Straight
Low Bun
Erminio Fiocca, a stylist for hair brand Ojon broke down how we can recreate these on afro hair:
Super Straight
This season, hair is worn super straight, up or down, with centre or side partings. The key is to get the hair as smooth as possible. Begin by washing the hair with Ojon’s Super Sleek Smoothing shampoo and conditioner which will help to seal in moisture and protect against frizz. On damp hair apply Super Sleek Blow Out Perfector (reviewed here) to help prolong the blow dry then gently blow dry the hair straight. Brush the hair into a low pony tail, continuously going over the hair to make sure the pony tail is secured tightly.
Low Bun
The Low Bun requires a high gloss finish. Use the Restorative Hair Treatment once a week to help build up hair’s natural resistance to future damage. On damp hair, apply Rare Blend Oil Total Hair Therapy (used here) and blow-dry this in for a glossy finish. This oil will give the hair texture, making it more malleable and easier to work with. Gently brush the hair into the nape of the neck, securing tightly into a pony tail. Leave a small section of hair free underneath the pony tail, use this to wrap around the ponytail creating a neat bun. Use a strong hold hair spray to give shine and smooth down any flyaways.
Will you be trying any of these styles next season?

I like the low bun!
