We love Jourdan Dunn; her down to earth nature; the fact she knows how to cook rice and peas and that she often wears clothes that don’t alienate; they make her seem like one of us (although her bank balance probably begs to differ).
Backstage at the Jason Wu show, she was papped in a Brian Lichtenberg ‘Homies’ hoodie. Brian Lichtenberg is a LA based designer who has created a cult line of t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirt that riff on popular designers. They’ve been seen on Miley Cyrus, Khloe Kardashian, Swizz Beatz and Christina Milian.
Instead of Hermes, we have Homies, Bucci for Gucci and Feline for Celine. He offers no apologies for creating designer fakes; remember the oddly coloured and slightly strange knock-offs you could get at Roman Road/Portobello market? Imagine that done on a better and a bigger scale.
Although Jourdan can afford (and probably has) numerous Hermes items in what we imagine is a walk in wardrobe, she wore a Brian Lichtenberg Homies hoodie anyway. She teamed it with the supermodel uniform of skinny black jeans, heels and a giant bag and we think she looked great.
