Lead singer of the Noisettes Shingai Shoniwa has been signed up as celebrity ambassador for MIZANI.
MIZANI -which means ‘balance’ in Swahili – is part of L’Oréal Professional Products Division and is their premium brand (I struggle to think of their competition) especially for those with curly/afro hair. MIZANI were also one of the first brands to break down curl types (there are 6).
Shingai will start with a MIZANI photo shoot which will provide images for use in magazines, online and in hairdressing trade titles.
Shingai said of the partnership: “I’m a huge fan of MIZANI’s products and their philosophy, so I’m honoured to have been selected to represent the brand as their first ever celebrity ambassador. I love to experiment and I’m constantly changing up my style, so the MIZANI range is perfect for me, particularly their True Textures collection as it caters to natural hair types like mine.”
She continued: “All of the products are fantastic and contain the right balance of protein and moisture, which keeps my hair beautifully nourished, shiny and healthy. Plus, with everything from shampoos to strengthening treatments and styling products, whatever style I want to create, they’ve got all my hair care needs covered.”
While MIZANI have products for relaxed hair, we love that they’ve chosen a natural haired women as the face of their brand in the UK.
Kenneth Campbell, Managing Director of the L’Oréal Professional Products Division, said of the appointment: “We are very excited to have Shingai representing MIZANI. Her beauty, individual style and confidence make her the ideal ambassadress for us. I was even more so convinced of this when she came in to meet with me pre-signing. The look of awe on everyone’s faces in the office said everything. A very beautiful young woman for our very beautiful brand. It’s perfect.”
We wholeheartedly agree and will be keeping an eye out for the striking images that are sure to come out of this partnership.
