Tahounia had rather a tragic start to life: after fleeing her native Ethiopia as a baby, where her older sister was murdered by the military for attempting to escape the country.
She then landed in Israel where, despite having suffering from malnourishment and other illnesses, she was eventually scouted and ended up in London with Zone Models.

She has since shot campaigns for Sleek and Diesel where an Editor at Glamour magazine said: ‘She reminds me of a young Iman, amazing figure!’
The name Tahounia means long term and here’s hoping her career is just that.
