Despite having the world’s couture houses probably on speed dial, Mrs Michelle Obama kept it real last night in a £25 frock from H&M for a TV appearance on The Today Show in the US.
She made some adjustments to the in store version – longer sleeves and a wider belt – perhaps for a more modest look.
On the show she said of her status as a fashion icon: ‘I take it as a compliment, but it’s not something I focus on. Everybody’s got to get dressed in the morning and put on something. I hope people find it nice.’
