J Lo is among the backers of Teeology.com – a new online destination for luxury tee shirts.
According to WWD, The site will feature specially selected high end printed tees from a variety of designers and artists with each design voted for by Teeology.com members. The designs with the most votes will go into production and be available for purchase (prices start at $29).
The site will also sell a collection of basic tees for men and women with prices starting at an affordable $20.
Teeology.com is due to launch today but at the time of writing, the site was only collecting email addresses and promising to notify when everything is up and running.
It’s an interesting concept – high end luxury tees that aren’t priced out of the reach of most of us. There’s no talk of how high prices will go but the most expensive tee shirt we found on net-a-porter was a gorgeous Lanvin creation that costs £845.
£845. Ouch!
We hope teeology merchandise isn’t priced that high! J Lo is a known for her love of designer labels – we hope she remembers she was (is?) Jenny from the block and has things we mere mortals can afford.
