Now Jade Thompson has been crowned the winner; what is she up to, what advice does she have for potential models and what beauty products does she rate?
Let’s find out:
Afro Boudoir (A): Tell us three hair or beauty products you can’t live without.
Jade Thompson (J): I’d say Clearasil because I have sensitive skin; Moroccanoil for my hair and a bottle of Nina Ricci perfume.
A: Was being on BINTM a help or a hindrance?
J: For me it was a huge help and a great platform into the industry!
A: Which fashion show would you most like to walk in?
J: Definitely Victoria’s Secret.
A: Who is your favourite designer and why?
J: Victoria Beckham – I just love the colour and fit of her dresses.
A: What is your go to piece of clothing?
J: My leather jacket.
A: What advice would you give to aspiring models?
J: Just be confident and believe in yourself 100%, anything is possible whether you’ve done modelling before or not. You can break the mould like I did!
A: What’s next for you?
J: I’m busy with castings, working as a full time model and hopefully travelling and working around the world for as long as I possibly can!
We saw Jade Thompson in the flesh at BINTM Live and not only was she (and all the others) so much skinnier than they looked on TV, she was also very friendly and spent ages posing for pictures and signing autographs for the many girls who’d obviously come mainly to see her. Tyson Beckford said she’d go far when they met on the show – we certainly hope so!
