Eucerin Calming Scalp Treatment

2 Comments 21 February 2013

I know it’s not sexy, but scalp issues affect most of us.

With up to 50% of the population known to have suffered with dandruff at one time or another, it’s important we take care of the health of our scalp as well as the look of our hair.

I’ve had a dry scalp for as long as I can remember so I am always happy to try new products in an attempt to rid myself of this unsightly affliction.

My latest product trial was the Eucerin Calming Scalp Treatment – a leave on treatment containing active ingredients to relieve the scalp from problems such as sensitivity, itchiness and dryness. Polidocanol helps with relief from itching and skin’s natural humectant Urea, helps prevent the scalp from drying out. To reduce the risk of allergies, the treatment contains no colourants or parabens and is fragrance free.

Application is easy; simply part your hair in small sections and apply the product straight to the skin along each parting line and massage in. The easy application nozzle gives an even spread of the solution. It can be used on a dry or wet scalp but on afro hair, I’d only use it after washing as the solution is quite watery. Do not rinse the treatment out; just dry/style your hair as usual.

After just one use, the difference is immediately seen and felt. There are no flakes and the itching is greatly minimised. Where has this been all my life? It’s easy to use, reasonably priced and it works – what more can I ask for! I’m going to get the Eucerin Calming Urea Shampoo next as the two products together are bound to be even more effective.
