Dark and Lovely hair care recognise that while lots of online magazines offer ‘see yourself with X celebrity hairstyle’ – most of the looks are variations of Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie and don’t usually work if you have brown skin.
With this in mind we were rather intrigued to get a press release from Dark & Lovely on their new virtual hairstyle app. The app works in the same way as all the other virtual hairstyle tools out there – simply upload a pic to your PC, take a picture with your webcam or use a Facebook photo – and use that image to try a variety of hairstyles and colours that will work well whatever shade of brown you are.
We are firm believers in going to the salon armed with photos of the look you want and this app is one step better as you can try the look out on your face (we tried cutting the celeb hair picture out and sticking it on a pic of us but it didn’t end well).
As the app is Facebook based you can share your looks with friends (always good for a laugh) and the site also has tips and advice on how to help dry and damaged hair.
