There’s something rather enduring about a nude lip; it suits practically everyone, it’s a great way to tone down a smoky eye or a bold eye shadow and it has a way of making you look young, fresh and demure.
It’s a celebrity beauty trend that seems to have been around forever and for good reason. It can be hard to find a good nude when your skin is brown but we think we have stumbled across the holy grail of nude; Burberry Lip Cover in Sepia Pink No. 32 (£23) and Mocha Glow No. 31 (£23).
On their own they are nice enough but mixed together they are perfect. Not too pink and not too brown you can apply more or less or whichever colour you wish to dominate the lip. We apply Mocha Glow No. 31 to the top lip only then add Sepia Pink No. 32 on top of that and again on the lower lip. Use a lip brush for a more precise finish, blend and voila! The perfect nude lip.
Be inspired by these celebrity nudes:
Jordin looks young and fresh with nude lips and sparkly eyes.
Naomie Harris vamps it up with golden eyes and nude lips with a hint of bronze.
Like Nicole Richie, you can afford to wear a heavy eye and a statement dress when your lips aren’t competing for attention.
Rashida Jones keeps it very low key in what looks like a matte dusky pink, similar to the colour of her natural lip.
There’s nude and then there’s too nude. If Solange had taken the hue up a notch she wouldn’t have looked so washed out. The hair and eye make up are on point though!
It looks like Thandie Newton is only wearing lip balm but she is included simply because she’s so beautiful and we want her hair.
Tia Mowry shows a nude lip and smoky eye are sexy. Love her new pixie haircut.
